Nora's 4th Birthday

Nora's birthday fell on Labor Day this year, so we decided to push back her birthday party until the weekend after. But that hasn't stopped Nora from planning her party for months and months. We started talking about her birthday over the summer, when I started to need some ideas for what to do. She was a little stuck on having a doughnut party, like her sister had, even though months had gone by and I had been certain that she would forget. Luckily, I convinced her that having a watermelon swimming party was a good plan & that's what we went with!

I had these cute watermelon swimsuits already & we had just moved into our new house with the pool, so it made sense to try & combine these two things for a Watermelon Birthday Splash Bash. It got a little hectic with the move & all, but we were able to get it all ironed out just in time for the big day.

Before her party weekend came, we decided to celebrate her actual birthday with a couple of fun things. We let her pick something fun to do & a special treat. She picked the trampoline park & Yogurtland, so that's what we did! Mimi, Pops & Grandpa were all able to make appearances to celebrate our sweet girl.

Yay for Altitude!
It took a lot of convincing to get these girls to not wear dresses.

Pops at Yogurtland!

After her "nap" time we gave Nora her birthday present... a big girl bike! She loved the pink & purple & sparkly things on it. We gave it a whirl, but she is going to need a lot more practice.

What a big girl!

A lot of our friends & family were able to come out to celebrate Nora at her watermelon party the following weekend. Unfortunately, it had rained and cooled off quite a bit, so the pool portion of the party was cut a little short, but the kids were able to play outside & in the playroom, we sang Happy Birthday to Nora & ate some cute watermelon cupcakes that I did not make. Nora was very happy that her friends & family made it to her birthday party!

We love our sweet four-year-old girl!!
