Seattle {Day Three}

It would seem that we finally adjusted some to the time change. I was not able to wake up at the crack of dawn local time and write blog posts about the previous day! Now I am finding I have a LOT to catch up on with our blog with the move and the trip and other fun & exciting things... stay tuned!

We had to do a bit of adjusting for our next couple of days in Seattle. We had been able to accomplish more than what I thought we would in our first two days leaving us with more time to spend on other fun. We ended up going a bit slower, which was good.

We started the morning with a stroll around the Pike Place Market. We were still up pretty early and headed down, even though most of the shops were not open. We moseyed around for an hour or two before our brunch reservations that morning. Some of the highlights of our walk around were the Farmer's Market section, which includes the fish and the flowers and all kinds of produce and goods. We didn't go into Le Panier, a bakery, but I really wanted to... the line got longer and longer and we just didn't get to it. We stopped into Beecher's Cheese, sampled some cheeses, and took a couple with us. We stopped in the Marketspice {tea} shop and tried their Orange Cinnamon tea... delicious!

We met Josie for brunch at Etta's, a seafood restaurant right by the market. We both had crab benedict {per recommendation} and it was awesome! Another favorite meal. We walked around the waterfront, but only really enough to ride the ferris wheel and see a pier or two.

After stopping by the hotel for a quick break, we met up with Justin's cousin to kayak around Lake Washington. I realized I needed to work on my form before we made it to kayak in Vancouver! It was a bit choppy getting out to this quiet little marshy area, but once there it was so pretty & peaceful. I enjoyed seeing the baby ducks. We grabbed dinner at the restaurant/water rental place with family and it was so nice to catch up. We had a blast spending some time with them and we hardly ever get to do so.

We have one more day in Seattle and we have literally done everything on our list, so back to the drawing board!
