First Week of Christmas

This week's festivities included the Carol of Lights at Primrose, the Parade of Lights in Grapevine, and the Christkindl Market in Arlington!

Mom & I went to Bass Performance Hall to see the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra perform favorite holiday music. Everyone was decorated so perfectly for Christmas and we really enjoyed the music they played! I decided after we attended that Nora and I should come here to see the Nutcracker ballet, since the environment is so inviting and festive.

Two of our fun holiday activities happened to be on the same evening, which made for one busy mama. Luckily, Justin's mom was able to come and assist with the girls. First, we went to watch Nora's preschool class perform their holiday song at the Carol of Lights mini-program at Primrose. The older children's classes each perform a holiday song as the school is lit up for December. Janie's not quite old enough to participate, yet! {Unfortunately, my video is too large to upload!!}

She picked a YELLOW hat! {Of course!}

After she was finished, we headed over to Grapevine to meet up with friends & watch the Parade of Lights in Grapevine. It was PACKED. I swear last year it wasn't nearly as busy. The girls seemed to enjoy it for the most part, when they could see over the crowds of people. I was glad I had help with the girls since Justin was out of town! The larger trucks needed to go down the street we were standing on as opposed to the normal route, which meant we kept having to move out of the way. It was kind of chaotic! We did leave early and no one seemed to mind.

Wearing their cute new Christmas shirts!

After the parade. The best picture I got!!

Nora got to go to the Christkindl Market over the weekend with Grandma and cousin Hunter and had a blast! She got to ride a pony, play in REAL snow, see Santa, and much more.

Pony ride!

I can't believe their old enough to ride on RIDES.

It has been a fun week & we're just getting started!
