Summer Week Seven

Our weekend consisted of a birthday pool party, a wedding for a dear college friend of mine, doughnuts with Mimi & Pops, and a little family time. It went by super fast to say the least!

Yummy, messy marshmallow snacks!

Janie eating her marshmallow - hilarious!

Wedding date!

The girls & I in coordinating dresses.

Janie wasn't so much into taking pictures.

I convinced Nora to wear her pink outfit to dance class this week. I'm not sure why she has been obsessed with the black one, but since there are only 5 classes this summer, I had to talk her into wearing pink at least one time!

Sweet little dancing.

Wearing her ballerina pink!

We did some craft time - {key word} attempted to make a wind chime {link here}- and a little dress up. I'm not sure how it happens, but there is something about mommy and daddy's shoes that so appeals to toddlers!

And this is what happens to your hair when you wear it in pigtail buns all day...

We took a family trip to IKEA with Mimi & Auntie K to find some good things for both my classroom & for home!

Nora loves her Mimi!

That big cheesy grin...

Ford has been scratching a lot lately on the back of his neck, so I took him in this week to get looked at. Essentially, they said he looked as if he had gotten flea bites (though could not find any actual evidence of fleas) so we are currently treating it as if it were that. I'm not totally convinced that is the issue here but we will go with it until then!

Picking up Ford from the vet!

Getting a special bath for his itchy skin.

We made some yummy things this week, including peanut butter & banana snacks {more here} and pizza for dinner!

She loved making this snack!

I could NOT keep Janie from picking at the crust the entire time.

My little helper!

Spreading the sauce.

Mozzarella!

Guess who kept eating..?

Topped with black olives because daddy wasn't home to have to eat them!

Yum!

We went to see the movie "The Nut Job" and then wrapped up the week with a trip to Altitude Trampoline Park! It had been awhile since we last went to a trampoline park. Nora took off and enjoyed herself the entire time! I learned she is not that much more coordinated than she was the last time we went. Janie wasn't sure at first, but seemed to really enjoy herself once she got the hang of everything! She is about equally as much coordinated as Nora is, so I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Time will tell!

Didn't want to stop for a picture!

A happy, happy girl. Thanks for coming with us, Pops!

Janie walking around...

...and having a BLAST!

One more week of summer is a wrap! I can't believe that next week it will be AUGUST!
