Tasty Tuesday: Bears on the Beach

This week we got a bit more adventurous and made a special snack that required more pre-planning. Pinterest was again my friend and we made a cute little snack called Bears on the Beach {link here}.

I had to pick up all of the ingredients for this from the grocery store beforehand, which isn't my favorite, but it was so incredibly cute that it was worth it.

After nap time, Nora helped me gather up the supplies that we needed to make our yummy tasty Tuesday treat:

Blue jello mix
Vanilla pudding mix
Some gummy bears
Drink umbrellas
Containers to hold the jello

We started by making the blue jello by following the instructions on the package. I opted for the quick-set method because of the two excited toddlers that I had waiting on a finished product. Once the water was boiling and the gelatin had mixed, we poured the lovely blue jello into our small containers, and the rest into a larger one for general eating, then put it in the refrigerator to let it set.

Then, we made the pudding, also according to the package, by mixing it up really well and letting it set for a few minutes. I had two great little helpers mix up the pudding and when it was finished resting, we decided to have it as our afternoon snack since we would only be needed a little bit for our tasty treat.

After we had eaten dinner, we got the jello back out of the fridge and started to complete our "Bears on the Beach" snack. First, we put some pudding on top of part of the jello. Then, put some gummy bears on the "sand" and finally, a little umbrella.

TA DA! Bears on the Beach.

Nora really enjoyed making this snack! She talked about it for days afterwards. Janie loved the jello and the pudding. :)
